Absolutely Wonderful Guide to Common Sense Dating
This is one of the best and most useful books I have ever read on how to truly, effectively find your mate. Laurie Seale's intelligent, sensible and self-esteem based use of questions to find out over time if you are truly compatible and your prospective partner sees life the way you do, values you, and values what you have to offer is thought-provoking and excellent.

I was drawn to this book because of the hundreds, perhaps thousands of great questions to ask my significant other. I stayed to read the perceptive comments by this author in between the questions too. Pop psychology it may be, but all in good fun and with serious enough and well thought out questions to keep any conversation going for hours on end. GREAT book on building a solid marriage
Classic Kay Arthur!No-nonsense Biblical wisdom on how to build and maintain a marriage that is both satisfying and God honoring. Kay's insights have been very helpful to my wife and I, and we give this book to couples as an engagement / wedding gift. This book is also a great tool for those who may already have some regrets in their marriage, and need help in overcoming obstacles that are preventing their marriage from being all that it can be. Personal reflection and lots of Biblical wisdom make this a great read, with lasting value.

Highly Recommend
My wife and I did Kay's book prior to getting marriage and really liked it.While some might have issues on some of the points in the book, Kay backs everything up with biblical references and it lines up with the word of God.We gave this as a wedding gift.This is the second set that we have given out as a wedding or engagement gift.

UGH! Walked out of the Class
I took several of Kay Arthur's classes on various books from the Bible but advise you...don't waste your time with this course.After several sessions, I walked out of class due to the lies given on the subject.After speaking with several other Christian counselors, it is obvious Kay is still in need of healing, as portrayed by the contents of this course. There are still some issues that need to be resolved. I guess if you were brought up in a Christian home and overly protective, you would fall for the context. Every Parent should own this book
I work with High School students and I found that this book has helped some of the parents as well as the student in brushing up on the basic skills that were forgotten throughout the years.I recommend that every household should have this book in their collection.

Might be so basic it's not worth your time
If you're looking for solid guidance as an executer or fiduciary, go elsewhere."How to Settle and Estate" is the better choice.The handbook gives a scant 7 pages of practical advice on what to do if/whensomeone close has died. Things like: Contact the funeral director,determine your parent's wishes concerning the funeral, ascertain whetheryour parents have already paid for their funeral, notify friends, locatethe original copy of the will - - you get the idea.I was verydisappointed especially given the glowing reviews provided by others.

Rare find.
Most books on estates and trusts are simply clueless in dealing with anything except for numbers and laws, as seen from the perspective of someone setting up a trust. Good presentation of "Plus's & Negatives" of alternatives

Not For Me - but pretty
Very Pretty but a limited number of arms and my family was not even in the book.For such an expensive work, I expected my family to be there!

Great - especially if you also have More Irish Families
The best and most up to date reference of Irish Family surnames, theirorigin, history and in many cases their coat of arms (colourillustrations). MacLysaght corrects many of the errors that appeared inolder publications on this subject, including those of Woulfe and O'Hart.Along with More Irish Families by the same author, this is a "musthave" if you are interested in Irish surnames.

An excellent source for Family Lore
MacLysaght was the the Cheif Herald of Ireland during the 40's and so hasan intimant knownledge of what he writes. He covers about 300 Irishfamilies and goes into breif details as to what county they originated in,the clans they belonged to, and the original Gaelic spelling. Comprehensive and easy to understand

Excellent preparation and keepsake
What a wonderful companion book to Birthing From Within.The Keepsake Journal has plenty of good information, practical exercises to prepare for labor and childbirth, as well as some pages for recording important information during the first year.It incorporates journaling, art, and pain-coping exercises all in one book!I highly recommend this for anyone expecting a baby or looking for a gift.It is better earlier in the pregnancy.

I am lucky to have one of the initial copies of this journal and I am so impressed I wanted to write a review.This is a real gem, not only because of the wonderful content, but because of the beauty in the book itself.We always say not to judge a book by it's cover, but I think the cover is one of my favorite parts!It is hardcover.It will last on my bookshelf for many years.Inside, the reader is guided through hands-on exercises that help prepare for birth and parenting, as well as space to record memorable events through the first year.It truly is a keepsake.I highly recommend it for expecting couples.

Wonderful resource for writers, roleplayers, and of course, parents-to-be!
This is a very focussed book, containing baby names and nothing but baby names. If that's what you're looking for, you've seriously come to the right place. It has a couple of aspects to it that I really love and that put it head and shoulders above the other naming books I've looked at. For one, it doesn't just take names from cultures--it has lists of names of celebrities, sports heroes, award-winners of various types, and so on. It provides a much wider array of lists to keep you interested and give you something to think about when naming your child. You could name your child after a Nobel Prize winner, an Olympic gymnast, the CEO of a famous company, an opera singer, an activist, or a mythological figure.

Not informative or sexy...
The book does not give enough actual advice or instruction on massage itself.It seems to focus more on the idea of intimacy, which can't be learned from a book anyway.The photos were distracting and not useful for technique at all.I would not recommend this book to anyone.I paid $4 for it and that was way too much.
