Wonderful resource for the entire year!
With chapters like "Just-me-and-mom time", "traveling made triumphant", and "Husbands have summers too", this book will become an invaluable addition to your bag of tricks.It includes recipes, activities, crafts, scheduling ideas, menus, sample charts for getting housework done, and more!This book is from a Christian stand point and mentions many biblical verses, making time for devotions, and lots of Christian music and book suggestions.I've already started working on our summer plans with my 7 year old, and he is getting very excited about all the possibilities this summer holds for us.Great buy, :)

The Creed: The Apostolic Faith in Contemporary Theology

An excellent introductory approach to theology
This book is a one volume compendium of Catholic Theology organized around the Nicene-Constantinople Creed. In addition to a detailed explantion of basic theological principles, the book also traces the history of the creedespecially during the first centuries and details the many heresies thatcontributed to each word being carefully chosen for the final product. Theauthor offers the reader many keen insights into the inner workings of themagisterium as each ecumenical council wrestled with the many agendaspresented by the disparate factions who were represented.

Made the Creed relevant forme today
Marthaler's book was extremely helpful to me in putting the Creed into a context that is relevant for me today. Gender and the Nicene Creed by Elizabeth Geitz, an Episcopal priest, is an excellent companion to it,offering a completely different perspective. Great Little Book
This book is a good one if you are going to have only a few to read to your little one.It has a wide variety of stories and rhymes for Dads to read to their little people.Moms will enjoy reading from it, too.

I liked the book, don't know if my husband did
I bought this book for my husband before we have our first baby.I was more excited than he was to have the lyrics to old songs and cool craft and cooking ideas.He has yet to look through it. Maybe he will use it more once the baby is actually here. Keep you posted.

Most importantly, my wife liked it!!
Yes...that is what really matters and when I brought it home she fell in love with the pictures and stuff.It is a 'best of' book for expecting fathers.The jokes are actually funny, the stories are great and very well written.I recommend it highly for first-time expecting Daddies like myself and all other Daddies too. ... This is a great devotional to start your day.My daughter,11 years old, and my son 9 years old can relate to the stories. I can relate also and would recommend to families. I am giving these as Christmas gifts.

Simply Wonderful!!!
Here's a gem of a book, with more than 300 Together-Time Activities for the mother and child.The books introduces visual and musical patterns, as well as poetry and rhymes, arts, and crafts, songs and dances, and lots of general fun and games.Mothers and their children are encouraged to follow along as they learn about each other as well as the fascinating world around them.
Wonderful for all moms!... A Must Have!!
I am a single working mom and this book has been a lifesaver! It is down to earth, easy to read and understand and gives so much information and little tips to the side of pages. I don't get enough time to read in depth so this is wonderful. I love the way the author wrote in the words to childrens songs...I always forget a line or so. This will become a very important part of our play time together. I liked it so much I bought 3 more for cousins that are expecting and have young children.

Fun & Games is lame, lame, lame!
I am planning a family reunion and need some fun, creative ideas, so scanned the good ol' Amazon database for something helpful.I discovered this book, and ordered it.What I found between its covers were a bunch of ridiculously lame games, and largely unrealistic suggestions and sillyideas for what would amount, in my mind, to the family reunion from hell,should anyone actually put these goofy ideas into practice.(I certainlywill not!) Some may find these games and suggestions fun and creative, butI just hope that I don't have ocassion to attend a family reunion that'sbeen planned by them. I did not find one single idea that I'm willing touse in this book. On the other hand, I've since found magazine articleswith some very good ideas for family gatherings, which I definitely willuse. This book stinks!

Amazing!
"The Reading Remedy" is wonderful.For the first time, I can truly understand why my daughter was having problems in learning to read and what she needs to succeed.After using the Phonics Plus Five techniques for just three months now, I can already see a major difference in my child's skill and self confidence. If you're a parent and you're concerned about your child's success in school, I urge you to read this book.

FInally, a book that makes sense on reading.As a speech language pathologist, I see so many children who struggle with reading.I have used the techniques outlined in the book and had tremendous success.This book can help so many children reach the success they dream of.
